The Coimbatore Marathon is not just about the race – we are all about the community spirit, bringing together people from various walks of life, showcasing the city of Coimbatore, and promoting the cause – Cancer. The event returns for the eight year. All these years, we have been more than just runners. We were committed to challenging our limits to stay fit and making a difference by our support to Coimbatore Cancer Foundation in its efforts to spread awareness of Cancer among the masses. The event has brought together people from all walks of life, developed a spirit of fitness in the community and above all, given a noble cause to run for.

From a humble beginning in 2013, the run has become the most sought-after event in the city of Coimbatore. With every year, the event has grown bigger and better. The event has also set high benchmarks for sporting events in the city. Together we celebrated the city, achieved our personal bests, went further for the cause, made better choices, took pride & inspired many to take up fitness. This would not have been possible without the support from so many people and especially runners like you.

is the new

The past editions of the event have always been held in the first week of October. But, taking into consideration the adverse weather conditions prevailing during that time of the year and the clash with festival and public holidays, the event will henceforth be permanently moved to December from this year onwards.

This year, given the prevailing pandemic situation, it is unlikely that we can conduct the event in the usual format. However, we have an exciting and safe alternative for you….The 2020 edition of the Coimbatore Marathon will be a Virtual Event!

Since this edition is virtual, we are not constrained to conduct the event on a specific date and time. We will indicate to you a time period in December 2020, within which you can choose your date, start time, route, distance and run / walk from wherever you are and complete your race!

Cancelling this year’s event would have been an easy alternative but.… we have taken a smarter route for engaging with our stakeholders. Through the Virtual Event, we are committed to offer a world class experience in an all-new and exciting format. We look forward to your active support for this novel initiative and for your continued patronage of the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation.
